In my lifetime the worlds population appears to have tripled….that doesn't leave much hope for children being born this year How will we feed them all in 30 years? As for me, I'm with Kesha….if it happens next year I know where I'm going. Do you? Maybe it's time to ask yourself that question. First rule of risk management…ask yourself the question, what if I'm wrong? Can I live with the answer? Thanks for a wonderful piece, I read every word and found it captivating.

There is at least one other group of enthusiasts...those that are sure that your predictions regarding "a time of renewal" or "a time of destruction and mayhem" in 2012 are a load of fear-mongering nonsense.
